Frequently asked questions
Which tools do I need to begin drywall finishing?
Start with a 6" knife, 10–12" knife, mud pan, corner trowel, sanding pole with vacuum attachment, drywall screw gun, and a stable step ladder. Our beginner bundle course covers setup, maintenance, and safe use.
How dusty are the courses and what do you recommend for control?
We demonstrate wet-sanding techniques, dustless sanding attachments, negative-pressure room setups, and cleanup protocols. You’ll see how to select compound types that sand cleaner and protect lungs with proper respirators.
Do I receive a certificate?
Yes. Many courses include a completion certificate and a skills checklist you can share with employers. Look for “Certificate: Yes” in the catalog details.
How fast can I get job-ready?
For entry-level finishing, plan 20–30 focused hours to reach basic productivity. We emphasize pace that prevents injury and rework, so your speed grows with stability.
What’s the difference between self-paced and live sessions?
Self-paced modules include step-by-step videos, practice checklists, and assessments. Live sessions add real-time Q&A, troubleshooting, and coaching on your footage or site photos.
Can my crew train together?
Yes. We offer team packages with progress tracking and supervisor dashboards. Contact us for a scope call and we’ll propose a pathway that fits your timelines and job mix.
Do you cover specialty textures and repairs?
We cover orange peel, knockdown, skip trowel, and blending repairs into existing textures. You’ll learn surface evaluation and color/lighting checks to prevent telegraphing seams.
What’s your refund policy?
We offer a 7-day satisfaction window for self-paced courses when less than 25% is completed. Live or blended sessions can be rescheduled up to 48 hours prior.
